Iskay kallpay

The weekly one is for you. The monthly one is for whoever pays.

Sapa simana

Short, and mostly practical. What was published this week, what is awaiting approval, what failed and how it was fixed, and what will happen next week. Reading it should take a minute, and it is made to be read on a phone.

Sapa killa

The one that gets forwarded. It covers the month against its plan, by channel and by theme, along with the reception and what next month does differently. It is written to be read by someone who was not in any of the conversations.

Two emails each month, and neither one says “engagement”.

Changeable, because one report never suits two readers

You choose which sections a report contains and in what order. A person running their own channels usually only wants the published-versus-plan and that's it. An agency client wants the breakdown by channels and the reception. A manager who reports to the higher-ups wants the themes and what changed. All three are the same month, cut differently.

You also set the tone — here a report is written by a writer, like everything else, so it can be as simple or as warm as the rest of your voice. And it can carry your own name and mark instead of ours, which for an agency is not just an adornment.

Chaskiqkuna

More than one person needs this, and each one needs a different thing

A report has a list of recipients, and each entry can have its own sections and its own language. That is what makes FABLS useful for people who manage other people's websites.

Llamk'ayta ruwaq runa

Receives the weekly one, in full, with the failures and their fixes. Nothing is hidden, because hiding it is how a small problem becomes a quarterly one.

Rantiq

Receives the monthly one, in their language, with your name on it. Published against the plan, the breakdown by channels, the reception, and what will happen next month. It arrives without anyone assembling it, on the last Friday of the month.

Factura-ta firmaq

Many times it is a totally different person, and many times they are the one who has never seen any of the posts. A short version answering a single question — what the monthly payment bought this month — is almost always all that is needed.

The reception is read from each platform's own numbers. Nothing in a report is a number someone typed by hand, and nothing is an estimate presented as a measurement. Where a platform gives no figure, the report says so rather than filling the gap.

This is more boring than a dashboard full of invented indices, and it is the only version that survives when a client asks where a number came from.

The sincere part: a monthly report cannot tell you if the content is working after just one month. Two or three months in, the line of published-versus-plan and the balance of themes will tell you something real about whether the arrangement is being maintained. Reception takes longer than those who sell this category like to admit.
