FABLS

Data deletion

Delete what we hold, step by step.

How to delete what FABLS holds about you: the whole account, one brand, or one channel's connection, and how to withdraw FABLS's access at each platform you connected. Every step here is one you can take yourself; if you would rather we did it, write to hello@castomo.com.

Delete everything: your account

FABLS is used with a castomo account, and deleting that account is how everything goes at once. Disconnect your channels first: the sign-ins castomAPI keeps for them are deleted by disconnecting, not by deleting the account.

How to delete your account4 steps
  • 1Disconnect your channelsIn FABLS, open Channels and press Disconnect on every channel you connected. This deletes the sign-in castomAPI keeps for each of them.
  • 2Open your castomo accountGo to accounts.castomo.com/account, sign in, and open Privacy. Download my data, on the same page, saves a copy first if you want one.
  • 3Confirm who you arePress Delete my account, type your e-mail address, and your password if the account has one. With two-factor on, type a code from your app or one of your recovery codes.
  • 4Delete for goodPress Delete for good. You are signed out at once, and there is no undo.

In this orderhello@castomo.com

What it deletes in your castomo account. It signs you out of every castomo product on every device, deletes your password, your two-factor settings and the permissions you gave products, empties your profile and settings, leaves in the security log only which event happened and when, and tells castomo's other services that hold data for the account to delete it.

What it deletes in FABLS. Your FABLS account and the sealed castomAPI key with it; every brand you own, with everything in it: its writers, campaigns, plans, drafts, the record of what was published, the platform numbers, and the comments and messages collected in its inbox; the channels you connected in anybody's brand, with the comments and messages collected from them; your memberships of other brands and the invitations sent to you; the comments you wrote on slots, your notifications, your settings and your agent tokens. Work you did inside somebody else's brand stays with that brand, because it is theirs, but without your name, address or key: only an id that no longer leads to anybody.

If you own a brand that other people should keep using, hand it over to one of them before you delete the account: a brand goes with its owner.

Delete one brand

Only a brand's owner can delete it. In FABLS, open Team, and under The brand press Remove the brand, then type the brand's name to confirm. It deletes the brand for everybody in it: its campaigns, plans, drafts, tasks and history, its channels, the record of what was published, the platform numbers, and the comments and messages collected in its inbox.

Two things are not part of the brand and stay: the writers, which belong to the castomo accounts of the people who wrote them, and the channel sign-ins, which stay in castomAPI. To delete those sign-ins as well, disconnect the channels before you remove the brand.

Disconnect one channel

In FABLS, open Channels and press Disconnect on the channel. Only the person who connected a channel can disconnect it, because castomAPI holds it on their account.

Disconnecting deletes the sign-in castomAPI keeps for the channel, and FABLS stops publishing to it and reading from it. For YouTube and LinkedIn castomAPI also asks the platform to withdraw FABLS's access; for every other platform, withdraw it there yourself, as below.

The brand keeps what it already has from the channel: the record of what was published, the numbers, and the comments and messages collected in its inbox. They go when the brand is deleted, or when the account of the person who connected the channel is deleted. When a brand's owner removes a member from the brand, or a member leaves it, the channels that member connected in it are deleted with the comments and messages collected from them.

Withdraw access at each platform

You can also cut FABLS off at the platform itself, at any time, whether or not you have disconnected the channel in FABLS. Once you do, FABLS can no longer publish there or read anything from there.

  • YouTube and Google Ads. On Google's third-party access page, choose the app you connected through FABLS and remove its access.
  • Facebook and Instagram. In Facebook's settings, under Business integrations, remove the app. Your Instagram account is connected through its Facebook Page, so this covers both.
  • Threads. In Threads, open Settings, then Account, then Website permissions, and remove the app.
  • TikTok. In the TikTok app's settings, remove the app from the apps that can use your account, as TikTok's help describes.
  • Pinterest. In Pinterest's settings, remove the app from the apps connected to your account.
  • LinkedIn. In LinkedIn's settings, under Permitted services, remove the app.
  • X. X is connected with the keys of your own X developer app, so you withdraw access by regenerating or revoking those keys in the X Developer Portal.
  • WordPress. On your site, deactivate or remove the castomo plugin.

What is kept anyway

Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires, which is not a decision we get to make.

Posts already published live on the platforms, under your control, and deleting them is done there: deleting your data in FABLS does not take them down.

Pictures and videos you uploaded are stored at a public address so that the platforms could fetch them. FABLS itself never deletes them, not with a post and not with a brand; write to us and we will remove them.

castomAPI's log of the calls made with your key records which address was called, when, from which IP address and browser, and any error, not what was sent, and expires after 12 months.

Or ask us to do it

Write to hello@castomo.com from the address of your castomo account, so that we know it is yours, and say what you want deleted: the account, a brand, a channel's connection, or the sign-ins castomAPI still keeps for channels you did not disconnect before deleting the account. It reaches a person. You can ask for a copy of what we hold the same way.

The rest of what we hold, and why, is on the privacy page. The controller is Castomo prosta spółka akcyjna, ul. Powstańców Śląskich 5/212, 53-332 Wrocław, Poland.

Plainly: disconnect your channels, then delete your castomo account, and what FABLS holds for you, the sign-ins castomAPI keeps and the account itself are deleted; withdraw access at each platform too, if you want to be sure. Posts already published stay where they were published, and billing records stay as long as the law says.
