FABLS

Integrations · X

Two hundred and eighty characters.Planned a month ahead.

FABLS posts to X through your own developer app: posts, pictures, threads and polls, scheduled by FABLS itself, with the replies, mentions and direct messages back in the inbox and a profile it can send for you.

Without it

A post takes a minute.
The open tab takes the day.

X rewards the person who is there. Done by hand, that means being there: a tab left open, a thread typed at lunch, a reply to a mention at eleven at night because it seemed rude to wait.

Always onWith FABLS: on a schedule

From the plan
to the timeline.

One post, one week

A writer drafts to the limit

The draft is counted the way X counts: a link is always 23 characters, and an emoji or a CJK character counts for two. A longer 4,000-character Premium post is never assumed.

A person says yes

An owner or a manager approves it. Nothing leaves FABLS before that, unless a manager has set the channel to autopilot.

FABLS keeps the clock

X has no publish-later of its own, so an approved post waits in FABLS and goes out at the slot's time. A thread goes out one post at a time, and a retry resumes where it stopped.

The conversation comes back

Replies and mentions come back to the inbox, and a reply goes out once. A reply can be hidden and an author blocked.

What FABLS does on X

Posts, pictures, threads, polls — and what comes back.

Posts, with links

Up to 280 characters, counted the way X counts them.

Pictures and GIFs

Up to four pictures or one GIF on a post.

Threads

Several posts in a row, committed one at a time, so a stopped thread resumes instead of starting over.

Polls

Two to four options, open for up to seven days.

Who can reply, and delete

You choose who can reply, and a published post can be deleted. X has no edit.

Public numbers

Views, likes, replies and reposts, as X gives them. A number X does not give is shown as missing, never as zero.

Five jobs.
What FABLS does with each.

The same five jobs on every platform, as far as the platform lets an app like FABLS go. Where it stops, the table says so.

JobWhat FABLS does
Set upA guide to an X account and its developer app. You give the four values from your own developer app once; FABLS passes them on and never stores them. The profile kit sits beside the guide, and FABLS can send the name, bio, location, website, picture and header in one push, after asking you first. When you ask, it reads the live profile and sets each field beside the kit.Where it stops: The handle is never touched: nobody's API can change it. A text longer than X allows is left out, never cut to fit.Read the X guide
PlanX takes its share of the campaign and its own dated slots in the plan, set in your time zone.
CreateA post is shaped to 280 characters, counted X's way. It can carry a link, up to four pictures or one GIF, run on as a thread, or be a poll of two to four options.Where it stops: Longer Premium posts are never assumed. FABLS does not upload video to X, and boosting a post with X ads is not here.
RunX has no publish-later of its own, so an approved post waits in FABLS and goes out at its slot's time. A thread goes one post at a time and resumes where it stopped. Replies and mentions of the account are the inbox, and a reply goes out once. A reply can be hidden and an author blocked. Direct messages are answered the same way, once a person switches them on, with a look-back of none, 7 or 30 days. From FABLS you can delete a published post.Where it stops: X has no edit. FABLS does not like, repost, quote or search.

Why this one matters

X is where the conversation around a field happens in the moment, and presence is most of the product there. A steady schedule is what turns an account that posts when it remembers into one people expect to hear from.

It is also the channel with the least room for a mistake, because there is no edit. That is a good reason for a draft a person has read before it goes.

Calm tip: a thread is a good place for the thing you would otherwise squeeze into one post and regret. It goes out one post at a time, and a stopped thread picks up where it stopped.

Why it is built this way

  • Your own developer appYou give four values from developer.x.com, made in your own project with Read and Write permission. castomAPI checks and seals them; FABLS passes them on once and never stores them. There is no X consent screen.
  • The quota is yoursAPI access, quota and credits are those of your own X developer account, never ours. When X says your credits are out, FABLS says so, instead of a vague failure.
  • Once, never twiceEach post of a thread is committed before the next call. A refusal after the first post is shown as a partial thread, and a repeated post X refuses is shown as a duplicate.

What is not here

FABLS does not upload video to X, and it does not like, repost, quote or search. Boosting a post with X ads is not here. The limit is 280 characters; longer Premium posts are never assumed.

Why do I need a developer app?

Because the access, the quota and the credits belong to the account that uses them. Using yours keeps the cost visible and in your hands.

Is a missing number a zero?

No. A number X does not give is shown as missing.

Ten other doors.
Same key, same plan.

Every one of them is connected the same way and answers to the same plan.

Be there on schedule.
Not all day.

Connect your developer app once. From then on the clock is FABLS's and the approval is yours.
